Apple Early Adopters (aka Suckers) stuffed . . . again

Are you sure? There have been some massive oversights by companies in the past.

It said so on their website, hidden away so you wouldn't see it. Proves they acknowledged the problem but purposely misled consumers with false advertising. Hence the legal proceedings in Oz by the advertising standards body, and probably. The same thing happening in the UK.

one of the main features of the new iPad was 4G, which by the way is lightning fast on my verizon nexus, so of course apple tried to advertise that feature as much as possible. Except this feature only exists in N. America and will never exist elsewhere.

And before anyone claims I'm just attacking apple, I wrote this from my free ipad2.

Hardcore product bashers amaze me. They really do.

And then of course there is the WiFi issue...

http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/05/new-ipad-wifi-issues/

Ah, it's that old Apple chestnut, reception issues. Apple is investigating complaints from customers over poor WiFi-connectivity on its new iPad. According to a lengthy forum thread, many users are experiencing connection drops and poor performance. An internal AppleCare document has now leaked to 9to5Mac, explaining how Apple is to "capture" and replace 3rd generation tablets that suffer from the intermittent connectivity. The issues appear to affect the WiFi-only model of Apple's latest hardware, with SIM-connected variants apparently safe due to the black antenna panel. Employees are told to test that iPads aren't suffering issues due to software kinks and return wonky units to engineers for testing and a full health check. Check out the leaked internal memo (and compare symptoms) over at the source.

Apple really need to sort out their reception issues...!

(This post only half in jest as my macbook still doesn't like wifi as much as other machines, even after the update that was supposed to fix it...)

Nice.

I also 'run' an IT Dept. Loads of people have iPhones here, ad we have no issues to be honest.

Yes, they are locked down, but thats the beauty of them, that's why they are SO successful! They just WORK, you don't have to buy them then change them to a different ROM because it's better...Don't get me wrong, I HATE the fact you can't just browse the phone in explorer without having to install some stupid separate iPhone browser.

you must be lucky. one of the owners is on her 4th phone in a year! the thing is they give you recon units which are often dodgy

I must be lucky also then.. .Cos in my organization, we've rolled out more iPhone's than i care to shake a stick at. 50+. I don't think I've had one go wrong on me.. UNLIKE the days of the Blackberry, where just about every other device took a ****.

Meh. Another expensive but largely useless item from Apple, couldn't care less. Although if people want to buy it who am I to criticise, we all waste our money on one thing or another in the eyes of other people.

ASA tells Apple to stop misrepresenting the iCon

The Advertising Standards Authority has widened its inquiry into the advertising of the Apple iPad.

The BBC understands the regulator is not satisfied that Apple has complied with an agreement to amend claims about the latest iPad's 4G capabilities. (BBC online)
Why don't Apple just stop advertising the lie that the iCon works with 4G anywhere other than in North America
