The review on El Reg (which made me laugh because they clearly went into a store for the photographs) says that the new MBA doesn't have an illuminated keyboard.
Oh right I must have mis heard him completely thenThe review on El Reg (which made me laugh because they clearly went into a store for the photographs) says that the new MBA doesn't have an illuminated keyboard.
It doesn't, look at the keyboard here;
http://www.apple.com/macbookair/
No buttons for dimming or brightening the keyboard like MBP's have.
The on button is now a button on the keyboard which is interesting.
What about new Macbook Pro models?
I thought they were due soon?

MBA still seems to be the ginger stepchild of the Mac products, I just don't see the point in the thing.
It's less powerful than the MacBook and MacBook pro, it's thinner but MB/MBPs aren't even that thick to begin with, the only thing it does have going for it I suppose is that the screens are smaller if you go for the 11" version - which gives it a small boost in portability.
Has anybody ever had a notebook where thickness hampered the portability? I can understand how the 11.6" takes up less room but the 13.3" is just going to be the same but thinner. Seems completely pointless, even more so than the 11.6" version.
