Apple really have missed an opportunity here.
They could have announced something really good but its just an improved 4S.
Looks like Samsung got off lightly and have nothing to worry about.

With such small updates from apple now, I might as well just stay a gen behind every year and let someone else have the depreciation. I'd rather it stayed the same thickness and increased battery life.

Nothing troubles my 4 so a 4s for a year won't be a hardship. I do all my surfing on an iPad anyway. The only time I use the iPhone for web is to clear up an argument using google

The 4S was an improved 4 to stop all the Samsung bitches bitching about how bad the specs were on the 4 (which they weren't)

This is a new phone, and believe it or not, the 5S will be an improved spec version, and so on and so forth

I've googled what's on locally, yeah....

Once we've settled and decided whether O2 get's LTE or not, I'll decide who with. I'll have a tough decision if not. I really quite like priority moments xD

I was expecting a little more from Apple to be honest. Maybe a better screen, or faster CPU. Camera upgrades sound good and LTE is a bonus for some but generally I'm unimpressed.

The screen is better - 40% better colour saturation, reduced glare. Zero point increasing the res for the screen size as it's retina, can't do much else as it's LCD/IPS. I don't doubt they could do an OLED screen but the colour balance on all the ones I've ever seen is appalling and totally unrealistic. The new iPad has an almost reference quality in terms of RGB values etc, I don't doubt this will be any different. I'd like better blacks but it's LCD so there's only so much you can do.
