Who here has gone along the epic road from Loch Caron to Applecross over the cattle road, known as beallach na ba?

It's an absolutely epic road, recomended to anyone really wanting to strain their cornering abilities while seeing some of the most stunning senery in the UK.

I've done it in a car, which I managed to get stuck by driving about a foot over one of the soft verges, whoops! I think in some ways it'd be a lot more palletable on a bike . . .

That looks awesome. My kids live outside Glasgow about 220mi from that road - in fact Glasgow to there via Loch Lomond looks like pretty cool - i think i may give that a bash in the summer when I rid eth gixxer up to see them.

I don't bike because of inner ear damage from when I was a kid which messes up my ballance. I've done it in a car though and it is very testing. I'm used to really, really challenging roads - being a Highland lad as I am - but this one really is quite the test.

Another route to look at would be from Carrbridge to Tomintoul and across to Aberdeen.
