I'll make my position clear first off - I am an atheist, I think the world would be a better place without any religion and I think Islam is currently by far the most dangerous religion. And no, I am not mistaking ordinary Muslims for extremists or any of that crap people spew out to try to silence any dissent.

But it isn't as simple as you make out, because you're only definitely right on 3 of the 5.

One of Mohammed's wives was a child, but that is not paedophila. In the past, marriage involving anyone with power was very often a marriage between families, not individuals. Not just in the middle east - it was the norm here as well. There are cases in Europe of people being married in their infancy. It was about business and politics, not sex.

You can very definitely blame Islam for male genital mutilation, but not female genital mutilation. That's much less clear. Some interpretations of Islam promote it, but if you go to the guts of Islam and look at the Koran and the words/deeds attributed to Mohammed, you get, as far as I can tell, nothing apart from Mohammed speaking against it as an already established custom that he couldn't stop, basically saying "cut less", and even that is a highly disputed hadith.
