The easy answer is to install it to a larger partition, but this isn't ideal. I've got a 30gb ssd, and want approximately 15gb of applications installed to it. Windows may have the rest, but the less the better.
Windows XP, 32 bit, fits comfortably. I'm not convinced 64 bit vista or 7 will do. So I believe that my best choice is to remove / uninstall parts of windows which require considerable hard drive space and which I don't use. Vlite looks to be my best choice here, but I can recall stability problems from nlite and xp.
Roughly how should I go about this? Image the cd, strip out bits on a hunch using vlite, then install from the cd is my best idea so far. This reeks of trial and error though. Is there a better solution?
