Ever noticed that middle eastern types don't seem to have any martial arts?

Asia - kung fu, ninjas, karate, taekwondo, aikido... ad nausuem
Europe - boxing, various wrestlings, that french kick boxing, fencing, pistol dueling
South America - capoera
Jews - krav maga
India - yoga?

Middle East - nothing

They don't have to learn it, they're born hard as nails.

Anyway isn't Krav Maga middle eastern? I thought it was to do with Mossad.

Edit: oh it's the IDF. They should have called it Jew Jitsu.

I also reckon Asians are OVER-represented in martial arts. Jousting, gladiator fighting and European things like that count as martial arts IMO. The Spartans had a culture that was basically just martial arts and not much else.

Its name is Hebrew. Don't try to hijack the only martial art they have.

It may be a Hebrew name but its still from an Arabic country. Don't try to hijack the only martial art they have. You say Krav Maga is Jewish in the OP, yet all the other ones you've listed are given countries of origin. Perhaps you already knew it went against the point of the OP and decided to try and hide it? Who knows, its a kwerk thread after all, you all unpredictable and such. :)

Edit - there is also Silat Mubai, a Muslim adapted style of Silat fighting.

All Jews in the world have citizenship rights of Israel by default through the right of return, so the Jewish diaspora as a whole is basically a nation. They have typically operated as a nation within nations throughout history.

Point it Krav Naga is unique to Jews, whether Israel is Jewish or Arabic is disputed so lets just say Krav Naga is Jewish instead of Israeli.

Tai chi is a martial art as well apparently, regarding the different fighting styles. Why is it they get pigeon holed into a particular style then country, basically its all about kicking and punching. Which you can see in a premier league football match 3 times a week if you have sky. How many variations of punching/kicking someone is there?
