ArcheAge, Ultima Online's rebirth?

The pay2win has been taken way out of hand and funnily enough usually by free players.

The only thing that would be classed as pay2win is archium drops fro ma crate bought in the marketplace.

The amount of people who will spend silly money to get an advantage is so small its barely worth talking about. Plus all the backlash will mean they will edit it anyway.

Hehe, I just wrote what I think some people want to hear people say :) (not yourself obviously)

He provides a good explanation of the changes, but I still think the reality of them and how many people will do it, is overblown and exaggerated for effect. He mentions toward the end at how min-maxers will be getting up at 2am to drink their next 4 hour potions etc. Well I am content to let them do that, I'm not a min-maxer, I play for fun and entertainment (and the social side of it) , not because column A of my heavily worked on spreadsheet of game based statistics says that I need to do X now in order to get Y, so that I can get object Z faster than someone else :)

But, we all play games in a different way and for different personal reasons.
 
What he says in true but I love the game! Its fun and with my friends and we didnt get bored doing stuff!

The quest move to another area so well farming/crafting is easy with friends!
 
A quick question for anyone who may know but when Rift and the other Trion games have launched did they open the servers when they said or an hour or so earlier?

It looks like they've all disappeared since Steam dropped them. In retrospect I think most of the cheap deals could have been from hacked accounts, as there were loads that also stopped at the same time.

I'm still hoping they put it back up on steam before friday, if not I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and buy from their store.
 
The starter packs will be on Steam, but won't be there on launch. They will be on Trion's site. They haven't confirmed what will be in them, but I expect it'll be similar minus the Founder-specific things (titles, etc).
