wonder how many scams there will be from the start too. I remember quite a few from the earlier days of UO. One of them being a gem. you used to be able to use HTML tags when writing a description for certain objects like runebooks. so you'd take a bog standard runebook and give it some made up stats :p

then making crazy coloured leather or deeds by trying to use a house deed on a stack of leather or something... can't remember now. :p

make female character, find lonely male character, batter eyelids and propose a trade of said items in return from the promise of boobs.

get the goodies and then send pics from the fappening. :p
 
Ok I am no expert but my understand is that you need to be half way through level 7 then just do the green quests to continue on your way to get 15 Gilda stars this will by the time you get there get you to level 10 so you can do the farming quest too and not just the house one. Then once you've done that go back and level as normal. Plenty of guides on youtube just search for Archeage Land Rush 1 to 10 and then rush to your goal, See on this map: http://map.guildblacksails.com/
 
Where is everyone on here rolling? I've been looking at a few sites and it seems the main one will be Kyprosa for the bigger guilds and top pvp and a choice between Kyprose and Dahuta for English guilds.
 
I was thinking of Kyprosa. I've heard Dahuta will be more hard core but I could be wrong there.

I've no idea what I'll be doing. I'm finding it hard not to get affected by the land rush panic. I haven't got any idea about guilds.
 
How do you get into a guild? Do you have to register with them out of game before it starts, or msg someone online once you've rolled? I take it to get anywhere you really do need to be in a guild?

I just had a quick look and a few guilds sound ok - Apex, Dark Reavers, Umbra EU.
 
I've looked at who is going where and for me the best guilds and PVP will most likely be on Dahuta - Kyprosa seems to have a good collection of good guilds but there does seem to be some bigger ones in there that may steamroller people through numbers alone which can make things stale. I think both of these will be good servers tbh but I will go Dahuta.

NB Dahuta is there the RPers are going :D
 
Really not sure on if to bother with this. The engine seems a little clumsy, the interface and general feel somewhat rushed and lacking identity and as though it will be another mmo on the decline after 6-12 months only to be replaced by another next best mmo. The website alone would put some off I'd imagine - horrific. The difference between games like these, rift etc compared with the polish of wow and ffxiv (cost upfront plus sub) is quite surprising.
 
Well its free to play, so you can always try it for a couple of weeks. If you find its not for you, then no harm or cost done. If it turns out that you find you actually enjoy it then its a bonus :)

True. Is the crafting, housing and farming required as it's usually everything I avoid in a mmo preferring to do small numbers pve and mostly pvp?
