ArcheAge, Ultima Online's rebirth?

Are their any viable melee plate 2hander classes in pvp in this game?
Really fed up with every mmo favouring mage range classes its getting boring.
 
Blighter is more one hander and shield based, although you do see some dual wielding.

I played it during the beta and loved it.
 
Trying to decide which pack to buy, just spent a tenner resubbing wow foolishly which is annoying. Silver would be just like purchasing any game which is appealing as i might not like this. But the lure of 'exclusive' items is strong :|

Which packs did people go for? Is there a particular level of pack i would need to be able to get a house/farm up and running over the next few days as i have 4 days off work including today so could get some good game time in.

Once early start is over it will be released and open to all via a fully free to play model. To get the best from the game you will have to pay for it via subscription.
 
Think I will grab this later assuming it's not to late.

What server are most ocukers going on? hardcore pvp is certainly for me so I don't want to end up on some crap server full of carebears

also what would be a good class for a more solo playstyle? as I often play games at unsociable hours

nice to be playing an mmo and be knowing nothing about it for once :)

was looking at this ages ago but stopped following it and purposely avoided the beta

It seems we are all going on the Dahuta and Kyprosa servers. Both servers have a good collection of PVP guilds look at who is signing up and I don't think you'll go far wrong with either. I've been trawling through the Russian forums and the common consensus there and from a fair few Russian players I have spoken to is that for the end-game PVP then archer builds dominate. However, Russians do like their zerg tactics so read into that what you want.
 
This is the first MMO since Everquest back in 2000 that I haven't really followed. These founders packs... the cheapest one is £37 and has £11 worth of credits and £8.99 worth of 'patron status'. So am I basically paying £17 for 4 days head start and a title?

I hear the game is Sandbox? Any good websites that explain WTF this game is lol? I must have been living under a rock.
 
I would love to play tonight, but I can't really justify the cost of the founders pack.

If I take out the credits and patron status it works out as £17.99 for a glider, a title and to be able to play ~6 hours tonight. I can't really play Saturday, Sunday or Monday =/

But if you can plonk something down right in the middle of their patch (as I intend to) then you can sell it for quite bit in a month I reckon when you mess up all their large farm/ship building plans.
