Hello everyone,

Yesterday I downloaded, burnt and attempted to install Windows 7 RTM on to my laptop.
After hours of trouble, with it coming up with this message http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2627/4168533469_f600483c41_o.jpg
I finally installed it.

I then tried to do the "upgrade" to Windows 7 in order to activate it properly, but that kept failing due to corruptions in files apparently.

Up to this point, I'd thought there may be a problem with the image I was downloading, or the discs I was using, or my disk drive.

I've now also just tried installing the Nvidia driver, but whilst it was unpacking, it had yet another corruption error.

OCUK, what's the source of the problem?

Check the hash of the image you have (hashtab or similar) to see if it's correct and the image isn't corrupt. Burn with ImgBurn and verify the burn so you can be sure it's done properly. If you still have issues check SATA cables and HDD.

My problem now is that there's something wrong with my system and it'd not handling files properly. This has led to the problems installing Windows 7 and now that I've installed Windows 7, the Nvidia driver is giving error while unpacking and i'm sure other things will give errors too.

Nevertheless, I installed Hashtab and have
CRC32: D9840A06
MD5: FC766DE9B0B1EFA83D67D7A1B9088683
SHA-1: BAFC6E3344D4E215CD695B9D10ED209263086661

Is this right?

As per your other thread you've got RAM problems so you need to sort this out before you start to explore these corruption problems.
