Arctic Cooling NV5 Rev.3 (6800 ultra) Temps

Fitted one to my bro's now out of warranty (over two years old) Inno Geforce 6800Ultra AGP since i had one laying about. Just would like to get some feedback on temps:

Desktop Idle: 51c
Stress Test: 68c (Company of Heroes Maxed out at 1280x1024)

Good/average/bad, your views please :)

Side note; am i safe using the onboard fan controller power pin or is it wise to supply Arctic power via PSU directly due to the non factory fan? Them pads that come with cooler for ram memory seem none to thick, had a job getting good contact. :o

Bit poor tbh, on my 6800gs i'm getting ( with a zalman ) 36 idle 48 when stressed... ( older zalman one without heatpipe )

Edit: but then again: might be because different chip (nv41 for me)

EDIT2: checked for idle temp just now, i checked on everest at first but appears nvidia and everest give same readings...

Could be yes; since my Gainward 7800 Bliss+ AGP is showing 47/48c idle whilst typing this, my case is a tad better than my little bro's. :)

What i meant with a bit poor was: i expected more from AC, the temp is still far far within safe limits, the temperature (overall) is good, but the aftermarket cooler performance isnt, i cant say its bad as i suppose its better as the stock, but cant say its good either ( if you compare to zalman's solutions )...

Ah i see ;) Yes better than stock but not much, hence my post. :) Comes as standard on my 7800+ Bliss and does a very fine job with better results than bro's 6800U. I even used Arctic Silver 5 paste on 6800U so was expecting better. :(

Edit: Been informed that thermal paste takes a few days to settle down and bond hard which could explain things since i fitted the cooler this evening. Temps down to around 64c under strain now whilst hes playing Company Of Heroes.
