Are £150-200 GFX cards not a thing anymore then?

Last time I bought a GFX card admittedly was a while ago. It was a 7850 and it was totally adequate for gaming at high res for most of the latest games. I think it cost me about £170 new from OCUK. What's the equivalent these days or the best bang per buck if I am about to do a new build on AMD for some casual gaming on a 1920 x 1200 monitor? I've been out the loop ages and I know prices went mental due to mining etc. I don't mind buying second hand if I will get much more bang per buck.

Thanks a lot guys. Very quickly filled me in and brought me back to speed. I assume Nvidia are out of the question then? Not that I care which manufacturer, I just want bang per buck.

The latest AMD cards recommended above....I'm assuming both the below systems would bottleneck the cards majorly.

Socket 775 Intel Q9450 overclocked 16gb DDR3 (system from 2009 ish)
Socket 1150 Intel G3258 Pentium K overclocked 8gb DDR3 (system from 2014 ish)

Bumping this thread back up to see where we are now in Jan 2020 with the release of the 5600 XT. So if someone wants to spend £150 - £200, £200 - £250, or £250 - £300, what are the current recommendations?

I'm a bit confused now with 5600 XT vs Vega 56 vs Vega 64 vs 5700/XT vs RX 590. Then on nvidia side you have the 1660, 1660 super and 1660 ti, and also some recommending the 2060 super. There seems to be a specific version of the 2060 the "KO" which is best value. Which is best for power consumption and lower heat as well?
