been keeping my eye on Pioneer 6090 prices / stock for a while now. trying to exercise some self restraint, so not buying until a house sale has gone through ( which seems to be taking forever incidently!)

I have noticed that fewer places have this TV in stock, and those that do the prices also seem to be going up :(

I know pioneer have stopped producing plasmas so this will probably continue until they are all gone. so do I jump in a get one and give up with the self restraint or is there anything else decent (plasma preferably) around the 60 inch mark thats coming out soon?

currently got a 2year old Samsung 63 (1080p) and looking for an upgrade quality wise whilst still keeping the size where possible. haven't seen anything else apart from the Pioneer that suits (pansonic seems a bit expensive given the pioneer and samsung / LG dont appeal)

That's not too bad at all.

Awesome tv and a 5yr warranty is a must. Mine is a D&G one, and I probably need to actually use it sometime. My component sockets don't work, but then again I don't use component, lol!!!!!!

£4k on the website :(

found a place in London getting them in later this week and they are at £3600 with 5yr warranty, £50 for delivery.

Well even at their best price they where always around 3k I seem to recall

My 5090 was £2000, when they where relatively few and far between due to being brand new, and the 6090 was too much for me then (so that price still seems pretty good)

(I would adore to be able to get the 6090 for my new appartment but there is no way in the world :()

well a month or two ago there were a couple of places doing them around £3250 - £3400 + delivery. ah well!

Deffo worthwhile, Ive used mine twice.

Once for new Panel, another for the flashing problem which is fixed by a firmware update/settings change in how Drive mode 2 works.

As for the OP, get it before they run out!
