I wanted to get a TV with 1280 768 resolution because I am using it on a PC and none of the other resolutions seem to be very common for a PC.

Also I want to use it for widescreen but 1280 768 isnt 16:9 aspect so does anyone know whether it will still be able to display widecreen at a good quality.

It'll display 1280x720 (720p, 16:9) video perfectly well, you'll just get black borders above and below the picture (24px either side).

if I were you I would get a tv with 1366*768 if you can - yes it may not be a "natural" res but once the tv is connected the graphics card with a decent driver should allow you to set it as such

Ok, thanks for the advice. I was looking at the Sony Bravia 26" which is 1366 768, does anyone know if it is any good at displaying PC games.
