Was just listening to Radio1 and chris moyles is pimping this concert or something they are doing for "free".

One listener quite rightly e-mails and says that its not free as we pay the licence fee and then goes on about how little the radio 1 service recieves to run their services from the licence fee and that why don't they go to sky and not pay the licence fee.

is it me or are these 3 clowns on the show excessivley stupid?

he's an 'stupid clown' on £630k...
personally i love having his show on in the morning - he makes me laugh :)
but scott mills in the afternoon is a different story entirely, eurgh yuck, that's when radio 4 comes into play for the rest of the day

fat clown does sum him up.He is just a stupid bully with a microphone who thinks that shouting his opinion makes him right.
Both he and the emailer are wrong, you do not need a license to listen to the radio and even if you change over to sky you still have to pay for a TV license

Well, your first mistake was listening to Radio One, I would rather babysit a class of five year olds on speed learning to play the recorder than listen to the complete tripe they play and spout.

So, in answer to your question, some radio presenetrs are stupid but they have managed to isolate them to Radio One.

/strokes DAB lovingly and turns on TalkSport, Planet Rock and Radio 4. :)

I don't like Moyles at the best of times, glad I get to listen to JK and Joel on the way to work instead!

And doesn't the fat, unfunny gimp get stupid money for presenting his show?

JK & Joel??? OMG! I have never heard too people who quite clearly share the same gene pool as the rest of their village.

These two are the epitamy of mind numbing "local DJ" mentality.

Chris Moyles makes me laugh though, so maybe it is me, also Scott Mills is a funny funny guy :)

I hate Radio 1. Used to love it a few years back then I found out Kerrang had a radio station and that's pretty much all I listen too now, esp. at work in the office :D .

I like Moyles, he had a bad patch last year but he's been excellent for the last 9 months or so. He cares about the technical side of radio; levels, timings etc, he knows that part of his job inside out. His salary reflects his knowledge and talent.

edit: Zane Lowe is also superb, I'm only actually like a few of the tunes he'll play but I always enjoy his show.

umm...he said that you STILL have to pay the licence fee on top of sky, and pointed out that you dont need a license to get into the free concert...

however, that said he was saying about getting bbc 3,4,cebeebies, cbbc, etc with the licence fee and no need of a set top box/dish (complaining about set top boxes for ages)....umm...you still need a freeview box chris...

IMO moyles is a muppet

He should ditch Aled imo, and the news readers and producers should keep schtum. He needs Dave to do set ups etc but he's got the personality to be more autonomous.

He's very much like Chris Evans in his radio days, another talentless overpaid "DJ" with a very high opinion of himself.

Chris Evans radio days aren't over, he doesn't the tea-time slot on Radio 2, he's better now but I still become enraged at his voice.

He's back AARRGGHH.....

I hate radio in general, but the tape player is busted in my car. I would listen to Radio 4 but it makes me very relaxed and sleepy.

Yay for the itrip arriving tomorrow.
