Are the ek gtx680 backplates useable without waterblock?

As above can i use the plates without the waterblock? I want it purely for cosmetic purposes.

Maybe if you can get screws long enough that fit. They aren't in stock So I can't say but I imagien screws will be your only problem. the ones that come with it are designed to screw into the ek block not the standard cooler

the backplates screw into the actual block so although they would fit, you would not be able to fit the backplate with the standard screws
