Are the schools on holiday already? Spam reaches astronomical levels so they must be.

Never would have guessed that divine_madness and da_mic_1530 were on study leave, really took you two for being older! :)

It is the obvious posters who are the same age as us who are really spamming it up that makes the annoyance, its fine posting some things but over the last 6 months especially there has been a huge increase in people it would seem are dependant on the forums to make their own choices; coming from me thats a bad thing!

Im posting in here because I noticed it too, it is not really an issue but it does add to clutter, as does this thread as ultimately it is just as bad. :p

Its fine to post, but going around the hardware forums typing: "I agree" to every other thread is a bit grating as it is 100% spam as you are contributing nothing.

Was a good debate in the pub thread between Nix and Balddog going on earlier, so GD can still produce some good stuff.

Hmmm, i am partly on holiday so i am reading the boards more. All my works done and in so im only really going to and from college for results now, so im spending another few hours kicking around the house each day, so i am posting more than usual.

19, just finished my first year exams :)

Though I study Civ Eng so it's expected of me to be thoroughly geeky and boring ;)

I'm sure I'm not the only person spending less and less time on the forums recently,
Here here. I've barely posted at all the past month.

It's not just the spam either. It's the pointless little trolly comments. In the end you think "Do I really want to post this only for some kid to upend it?"

il take that as a compliment mate :)

iirc you are 17, i think theres a few regulars around our age, you, stellios and lemonkattaz are the 1st to pop into my head, i feel us 4 represent the sensible lot of our age (not that im bigging us up here)

but there are a few of our age group that are creating this image that we are all stupid whiners

I've noticed it too.
Two such threads I've just wasted my precious time on are looking at a video of a girl playing with dolls and somebody asking how to use a microwave.
I blame myself really.

Change your font FEEK - it does my head in cause I can't read it properly.

Year 11 Study leave here, muahahahah.

Its kinda harsh you blame us, there are adults that have nothing between there ears.

I've posted one spam thread, which I got suspended for :D :(

Anyway, ban ebay/paypal/email/ etc threads :p

Oh but I am a whiner. :p

But yes I do get your point that we could easyily be branded the same, but the way I look at it is I never took you for your age, so I do not perceive any of the other forum members to; which would mean that you would be exempt.

Its not the postcount that matters really, or the age of the person it is ultimately the posting age, or the perceived one as I have spoken to people on the forum I took for well below my age and end up being twice mine.

There are some really good posters on this forum, best group on the net as far as I am concerned and others can say otherwise but I am entitled to my opinion.

I get hassle on MSN of spoilt brats taking pot shots at me for various things, but it does not put me off OcUK one bit due to the overwhelmingly postive member base.

Only one time I have ever saught help of the forums I asked Matblack a few things, and he seriously helped me through a very tough spell with just 10 minutes of his time on MSN, I owe him the money for a drink as I can't buy him one at the moment. ;)

I think perhaps as well the Dons all seem busy with their various pursuits at the moment so lots of spam threads which would otherwise be locked and deleted hang around for a long time before being dealt with.

Can't I'd really noticed any difference in spam being posted though, apart from the observation above that it seems to hang around longer :)

On further reflection, has it coincided with GillBot's reversion to normal membership?.. :p

I totally agree. Some of the threads created are almost embarrassing to read (i.e. people asking how to do something or what item of clothing to wear or whatever).

It's my fault. :( Sorry Feekypoos - being on holiday I'm being a slackarse. I cannot unleash my can of whoopass to all the kids :/ I just cannot be bothered at the moment - "I'm on a break!!!!". :p I promise full service will resume with at least 50% of drivel locked. :D
