Here I am sitting at my desk at work... and there is a fella eating some chicken... and everybody is talking about how much it smells!

...So should people be allowed to sit at their desk at eat food that smells? lol

im sat at my desk eating my M&S Liver and Bacon meal... everyone is going "yummmm" and rushing off to get a microwave meal themselves now!

Though we have got a unwritten rule about fish and chips and Curry dishes cause they STINK :)

Many years ago (:() on my last day at the 6th form, me and a few mates went into town and came back with rotissary chicken. We successfully managed to make the whole common room smell of chicken, which really annoyed several vegitarians. We thought this was great fun.

So to answer your question yes, I think its fine as I like food and am not on a diet.

PK!

For some reason I find the smell of other people's sandwiches disgusting, especially if it's a ham sandwich.

I think it stems from when I was in Primary school and I had the same lunchbox as another kid (yellow power rangers box for the win) he ate my lovely dinner and the teacher suggested I had his, I obviously was still so traumatised after realising what had happened, I imagine he must have had some kind of mankey smelling ham sandwiches and it all stemmed from there :D

By the way, you're all eating rubbish food for dinner! Microwave meals!? Fish and chips, curry!?

I am when someone eats crap food (mcdonalds, KFC, BK) when they're near me on the bus. The smell can sometimes make me want to gag.

Yep, I know, I have an office and there's a temp in here at the moment and he eats that carp on a daily basis. Really gets on my nerves. Can't wait until he get's fat and keels over from a heart attack. He's not my temp, otherwise I'd put an end to it.

Yes I cant stand the smell of crisps especially, when people at school are sitting there eating it, i hate it, especially when they start sucking their fingers, :(

You sound like the best boss ever.

'I will also be telling you what you and cannot eat'

I couldn't care less about the smell of other peoples food, can't think of a time when I've ever been bothered by it in the office. As long as your company policy allows you eat at your desk then I can't see a problem.

Hahahaha :D

The smell of tuna cuts right through me. I'm not going to moan though, people can eat what they like. If I don't like it, I should get out of the area.

I hate the smell of all sorts of foods, but its really MY problem not somebody elses and its hardly unreasonable to find people eating food in an office at lunchtime.

I'm offended by the processed food smell (and sound) that comes from a certain colleagues backside.

He's a Guiness drinker and is still drunk from the night before more often than not. Its only a small office but you can hear him from the other end squtting out a few kebabs and pizzas.

Then he goes and warms up some diarrhea looking soup that smells just as bad and it hums round the office for ages.
