Argh! Take That...

There is some through the usual channels if you want to pay 4 or 5 times the face value. But I would say do not support the rip off merchants and touts

I'm just interested in some opinions as to why their so sought after, I honestly cannot begin to understand why or where this overwhelming fascination comes from.

Each to their own, obviously but I am genuinely interested in what they've got that other bands haven't.

You'll be hunting for an answer for an eternity. God knows what causes most music fads in the pop world.

If you want to know then start a thread about it instead of trolling in mine. You either like the band or you don't. This thread is to discuss the difficulties or otherwise people have had in securing tickets and nothing else.

I'm amazed that those working for the ticket companies or concert promotion company can't sort themselves out and release the tickets in a more organised way so that there isn't complete chaos.

You may have answered your own question there, I suspect the ticket comapnies/promotion company COULD sort it out so there was no chaos, but they probably dont want to.

The chaos makes headlines, headlines is PR. Ticket buying frenzy !! Chaos as tickets go up for sale !! Rush for tickets causes telephone and website outages !!

Those all make for much better headlines than... Tickets selling normally at respectable pace and in an orderly fashion !

Stuck going to Stadium of Light with my sisters - hurrah :(. Might persuade them to sell them and get tickets to San Siro instead :p - least it be a nice hol...

ps3ud0

My girlfriend tried to get some tickets for her and a few others before she went to work this morning, she didn’t manage to get any before she left. Being the nice chap I am I tried to get some on her behalf, I tried uising a ticketline number posted on a take that forum that some people had reported having success with.

I then downloaded an auto re-dialler app from android and let my phone do the work whilst I waited for it to connect without being engaged. 2 ½ hours later I managed to get through and book the tickets, hurray. But I bought the wrong bleeding ones as the guy on the phone was rushing me so I spent the next 2 hours trying to get through again so I could change them. When I finally got through (again) I was advised I only needed to email the customer services department and they would change it for me, which they did.

Quite an ordeal, but I think I got some serious brownie points for it, it’s just a bloody shame I’m in work tonight!!

I got some for my wife and mum earlier.

It took a while and due to the rubbish way ticketmaster works (which is sort of ok for theatre and other shows, but no use at all for this sort of event) I ended up on ticketline trying to get 2 of any reserved seating (had used them to get wife and mum tickets last time ok) and when it did finally load a payment page I had 4 tickets (in the same section but in 2 different price bands) and couldn't remove any without starting again so I ended up buying 4 tickets as was fed up by this point...

I do have 2 extra tickets in the Upper Tier reserved seating next to each other in block 501.

I've seen people saying stuff like 'I was trying with three laptops and my phone and still couldn't get on'

Perhaps if everyone just used one machine sensibly, rather than 5 all at once, each spamming the site at 10s intervals these websites wouldn't get overloaded.

My friend managed to get two tickets for their concert in Hampden Park Glasgow, she used Ticketsoup and got them within half an hour of trying.

I think they were around the £80.00 mark - seems dammed expensive to me but then I'm not really a big fan of Take That!
