Ok hows best to create a page containing images and text. I want the images to in some places be on the right side and then later down the page on the left and vice versa.

Where ever you want an image, just select the start of the line you want it's top to be level with.
Click the add image button and upload your image. Then just set the alignment of the image before you insert it.
If you're theme is set up with the correct styles, you should get the layout you want I think.
