what i hate about bill gates and microsoft is all he has ever done is copy other companies and ideas and make them their own. they are so undeserving of the richest person and company in the world.

Just to make it clear to you. Bill Gates retired from Microsoft 4 years ago. He's now spending his fortune on charitable causes.

What does Bill Gates do with all of his money? He gives it to charity. What do other companies do? Hord it.

I'm interested to know where he copied everything from as well. Are you saying Windows has no originality? Sigh. People buy Windows because it's compatible with most hardware, has a ton of software / backwards compatible software, is reliable and is nice to use. I can't think of another OS that does it as well as Windows.

yeah yeah sure....windows was built on all ideas from apple mac and windows tablet is a copy cat of ipad and many more examples

For a home PC user what can Windows 8 offer me Over Windows 7?

Windows 7 is probably the best OS they have produced in my humble opinion.

I am more than willing to swap to 8 if there is tangible increases in loading speed and resource management for gaming.

Have you actually read about the mechanics behind windows 8? Any person with half a brain would know how fundementally different Windows 8 is from windows 7.

Jeff Atwood a very respected and normally Microsoft critic is impressed with Windows 8, have a read from someone that knows something about programming:

I dont agree with him over his Windows 95 comment, I think even though Vista was pants it moved their operating system forward a lot, when you talk about pointers, and buffer overflows etc...
