ASRock H61DE/S3 Motherboard 16gn help

Hi made a system with this board 8gb of ram works fine but when i had another 8gb to make 16gb will not boot
web site says i need single sided ram for 16gb any ideas

Hmm I may be wrong but I think H61 only support 4 memory banks.

What ram are you using, do all memory work by themselves.

The board should be able to handle 4 x 4th modules.

Hmm the chipset block diagram shows 1 Dimm per channel

Tryed kingston and a few others all the same all work fine in 8gb but will not boot 16gb tryed all 4 banks and all work

4 memory banks is 2x double sided dimms.

If you want to use all four slots you need single sided dimms.
