Asrock N68C - faulty DDR3 slot

Turns out one of the DDR3 slots on the board is fauly (doesnt reconise the ram stick),updated to the latest bios and still no joy.
Question is,the retailer i got the board from has said it`s up to 2 weeks from taking it back till i get a replacement from asrock,is this usual?
Just seems a long time to wait for a replacement and a pain as its the main pc in the house.

Asrock is a spin off from of Asus and from Asus it can be 4-6 weeks!

Count yourself lucky.

How long ago did you purchase the board? If it is less than 28 days just request a refund and purchase a new one.
