Looks like there's a new model of the ASRock X570 Taichi, which seems to address a lot of the issues with the original version.

Will be interesting to see how much has changed on the board and whether the chipset cooler can be retrofitted to the original one.

Edit: Looks like that's a no, since one of the changes seems to be they've moved the lower M2 connector across a bit to make space. Should have done this in the first place as I've yet to see extra long M2 cards.

It's pretty sweet. Here's mine ...

Replaced the temporary Intel Xeon E5-1620 V2 Lenovo workstation mobo (sounds bizarre but this is still a great placeholder board imo) with this an 5900X.
M2 next step. Still trying to tidy my build. Corsair L shape 24 pin mobo adapter doesn't fit so PSU cable is irritant and not sure what to do with GPU power cables yet.

How's the BIOS? The standard Taichi is ropey at best. Does PBO work?

Had a saga with a dodgy x570 master that concluded with refund the other day. Had my heart set on one of these but it was difficult finding stock, a few places had pre orders to receive them around the end of the month. A few hours after ordering I got an email saying it had been dispatched, and they changed to in stock.

the Chipset fan is way quieter than the master I had

Irony is you cant actually see the extra RGB things because the GPU and cables block them.

One of the reasons I wanted it was because I have the razer 011 so the razer RGB controls all my lights now except the ram. Cuts down on the bloatware a little.
