Assasin's Creed II for PC

:/
I preffer playing it on 50", with a wireless controller sitting on the sofa.

You can still do that with a PC,plug PC into plasma and get yourself one of the wireless 360 modules for the PC and use your existing wireless 360 controller!

I know what you mean though, sometimes the plug and play aspect of the 360/PS3 hits the spot. It's all a bit hypothetical anyway,as AC2 hasn't had a PC release yet and when it does it'll be months later than the console version!

I just wish the PC and console development of games could run parallel and have simultaneous release dates( Dragonage did iirc) It seems as though us PC gamers are being teased at times. I suppose there is financial gain for the game companies by staggering releases,it doesn't make it any less annoying for us PC gamers though.

Its a really terrible game

If you hate AC1 then AC2 is more of the same but the gfx are like PS2 level in many places. Its so shocking considering Ubisoft pulled developers off Splinter Cell5 & other games to get AC2 finished then the end result is such a disaster. How anyone likes this game is even more shocking as its gameplay wise identical to AC1 apart from a few extra mission types which are all the same anyway fetch this kill that etc etc all with PS2 level gfx

I loved AC1 btw & even got 100% on it on both PC & X360 versions.

AC2 is so badly designed/coded the PC version should just get cancelled as it also contains a lot less content than AC1 HD disk space wise its about 2GB less content and the locations are much smaller plus you get less locations and even more timed & frustrating sub games which as you cannot save at all (it autosaves checkpoints for you) require endless backtracking like the type you remember from 10 year old console games as they could not handle multisaves back in the day :( When this comes on the Steam sales (it will much sooner rather than later trust me ;)) I would not even pay a fiver for it.

I should also mention that some of the game content in the endless you cannot skip cutscenes is pushing 18 certificate level material but not in a good way more of a did they really need to tell me that when its about an NPC and not relevant to the storyline in any way shape or form. I would not let your children below 16 buy/play it as the violence is also 18 level certificate & its amazing with the knife crime culture this did not get 18 instead of a 15 cetificate as plenty of pointless arterial sprays are shown in the cutscenes. Its like the writer used it as a smokescreen as the actual story is thiner than AC1 and just more of the same but set in another less interesting era.

If you really think this is your kind of game try & play the X360 version for about 20 mins as that pretty much covers the entire game it never ever once improves

Got it for the 360 and it is smooth enough and it looks good on a 32". I couldn't be bothered dragging my gaming computer in to the living room and hooking that up, too much hassle. I suppose the fubared graphics card does not help as well.

PC is too far away in the house to the livingroom TV I cba moving it and don't want a mini pc in there either, the PS3 is enough for me (i also like sony controller for certain games).

I'm not hardcore gamer anyway, its only if i'm bored (like now lol) and have nothing more productive to do (which I do).

So I shall go now.

:)

AWPC I thought you had something there...until you said about the knife crime culture :p

I thought AC1 was crap after a couple hours of playing because it got so damn repetative. Screw the story, it wasn't worth wasting my life on that crap.

If AC2 is more of the same then that will go down the same route as AC1...off my HDD, but I am keeping an open mind.

But the knife crime thing, wtf :p computer games don't affect kids. If they did then I'd be a pimp shooting people now beacuse when I was 12 I got bought GTA San Andreas and well, that had no effect on me at all (just an example ;))
