Assassins Creed Brotherhood PC release dates (UK: March 18th)

The people who refuse to buy it because of DRM, do you play without an internet connection much?

Yeah i don't understand why people moan, these day's we are connected to the internet 24/7 or when ever are PC's are turned on.

I live in the sticks and we can go for days without internet connection. Why shouldn;t I be able to play games I bought when it's down? Especially since I can't do anything else like surf ocuk forums etc

Was only asking a question, fair enough in your situation, obviously i was being naive assuming that sort of stuff doesn't really happen. :p

What they're actually saying is "I'm not buying this because of it's crappy DRM, so I'l pirate it instead" :p

I think you'll find the only people complaining on here about DRM are people who want to buy the game but can't/won't due to the DRM.

The pirates will be too busy playing their dodgy versions to complain about it, and they won't be complaining because their versions won't have it anyway.

Was going to pick this up once i complete the 2nd one but due to Ubisofts DRM i can't do that as my key managed to disappear from my ubisoft account, so i can see why people dislike the DRM.

Shame as i wanted to play with mates on the MP of this.

It's on my list. I did once lose 3 hours of gameplay due to the savegame not synching properly, but other than that I'm not fussed by DRM.

There will be a few people who dont have constant internet access, like people on deployments and such. I cant get unrestricted internet on the ship im on so if i was at sea i would be screwed. If i happen to be alongside somewhere, i could just go outside with my laptop and mobile phone for a minute or so, but its still not ideal.

If what you said was true(and some probably do think that) it would be pretty hilarious as thats defeating the object of putting drm in.

I figured i would preorder this on steam and get the few extra goodies the digital version has to offer. The plan was for it to preload last night and play it when i got up.

It didn't really work out for me :p

No hint of what the problem is either, still wont preload, or should i say download now

The comment about bitches annoys me.

Every console now can have pirated games running on it. Fact.

Do they need an always on internet connection to play? Do they have 'install' restrictions? The thing that is killing PC gaming is all of this rubbish DRM.

What happens if, in a couple of years, they take down the authentication servers or go bankrupt? Then you're going to have to obtain other means of playing your legally owned games. In years to come, as laptops get more powerful, I may want to play these games when I'm travelling but I won't be able to because I'll need an always on connection.

Recently my internet connection has been awful, so if I loose internet connectivity whilst playing I then loose the ability to save the game.

It's a pathetically obtruse system designed to annoy the people who are buying the games. If you pirate the game you don't have any of this rubbish in it. So in a way Ubisoft, in there absolute ignorance, are almost advocating piracy.

We should be looking at ways to make it easier and better to play games, encouraging gamers to go out and buy the games. Publishers should not be shafting there customers by forcing this horrid DRM on them.
