assuming this goes here as opposed to GPUs due to more generic issue.

anyhoo. main monitor goes to my 30" dell (dvi) and have a set of speakers for it. i connected the hdmi to my TV so it's the secondary monitor. i want to game on this TV and have the sound come out the telly via hdmi if possible

1st thing, is getting audio. i played a vid and changed the setting under audio to the ati hdmi option but no audio was passed through.

anyone got any ideas on how to get audio through hdmi as well or is it not possible to have both?

after work i plan on installing the latest cats with the tv attached in case something wasn't installed last time round.

With me, I have my monitor going through via DVI and then sound from my sound card to my headset. With my TV, it goes through on HDMI and the sound device set for this is the ATI HDMI Audio.

If you set up each one individually and save one as a preset you can flick between the two, as and when required.

E.g. Switch the display to the TV, set the sound device to HDMI audio and set the correct resolution. Then save it as a preset in CCC, with a hotkey e.g Ctrl+Shift+1.

Then do the exact same for the monitor and set the resolution, sound etc and then save it as a different preset with a hotkey e.g Ctrl+Shift+2.

If all goes well, when you want to game on the telly, press the preset shortuct and it should switch the sound and picture to the telly for you. Vica versa to go back to the monitor. Thats how I roll anyway.

edit: I dont think you can have both.

Assuming your using win7 right click speaker icon in task bar select playback divices, you hopefully have AMD HDMI Output in the list, highlight and click set de
Fault, thats how i do it,see if it works for you
