Asus 780i is total pantS?

Mine seems to have died:

Will now only very rarely boot. Most of the time the fans spin up, I can hear the HDD spin, and then nothing. Disk drive light stays on and I don't even get a POST. I've tried removing 2 of the 4 sticks of memory, sound card and even unplugging the SATA drives. Any other ideas, or is it RMA time?

650i board I bought the other day is doing just that... press the power button, fans spin up, 5 seconds after powering on it powers off... atm it will boot if I then clear the CMOS* - I'm hoping tho without much hope that its the PSU as its a cheap generic one - shame coz other than that this gigabyte 650i board didn't seem so bad...

*remove power lead and press the power button once to discharge - dunno why as it makes no sense but it seems to help, then short the CMOS clear jumpers for a few seconds... it might be coincidence but with my board it seems the chance of the boot problem happening seems to conincide with the VDIMM being set to higher than 2.1v.
