Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe chipset w/ Leadtek 7800GTX Extreme

I was just about to upgrade my PC but have encountered a bit of a problem.

I have an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo and wanted to change the chipset fan before it dies on me (getting errors on start-up from time to time and a friends has crapped out already) as well as upgrading my gfx card from an Asus Extreme N6600GT to a Leadtek 7800GTX Extreme.

The problem is that if I fit the Swiftech MCX-159CU heatsink to the motherboard processor I won't be able to fit in the 7800GTX because of the massive heatsink the gfx card has.

I guess I have two choices:

1) Keep the original chipset heatsink (hoping it doesn't die!) and install the 7800GTX, then save for an Asus A8N-SLI Premium, which uses the heatpipe cooler instead of the noisy fan. or...
2) Change the Leadtek 7800GTX for another graphics card.
3) Find another way of cooling the mobo chipset.

Anyone have any other suggestions, or run into this problem aready?

I had been looking at the Zalman heatsinks but they won't work unless I clip off a load of the prongs because of the almost zero clearance between the video card heatsink and the existing fan. Maybe it's worth a shot?

I'd rather not replace the Leadtek 7800GTX Extreme because, apart from the overlapping of the processor it's a superb video card. Nice and quiet -- and fast. :)

Surely this is a common problem with any NF4 mobos running double pci slot gfx cards?

I, hopefully obviously, meant "A8N32-SLI Deluxe" not the Premium. :)

Why not water cool? I dont my self, but aren't the cooling blocks smaller than a heatsink?

Not too keen on water cooling just yet. :)

I'll probably just give Asus a call to get a replacement fan. I don't really know how I'll be able to fit anything bigger under the gfx card -- moreso if I ever get around to SLIing the thing!
