I cant seem to get ASUS update for the bios update to work for my ASUS A8N SLi Premium. When I try to install it, it says it cant find an ASUS motherboard.

Any one had/heard of this problem and a fix for it?

Thanks for any help, Stax

I had exactly the same problem with my A8N Sli Premium. I thought I was the only one. I di use the disc though that came with the board, so maybe thats why it's happening? Have you tried using the latest Asus Flash Utility from the Asus website? Maybe if you update your chipset driver you can't use old Flash Utilities. I would try this out, but my mobo has broken down and is out of action right now.

Hi,

I installed that program (latest version) but it doesn't seem to work. No big deal really my board was shipped with the newest BIOS, I just wanted to see if it picked up anything newer or showed me the beta versions etc.

I believe that all u need to do *if* you are really clucking to flash your BIOS is download the updated BIOS to a floppy and then press ALT + F2 at the boot screen and follow the instructions!

I'm not in a rush to flash my BIOS just yet, still getting to grips with everything as it is, plus everything is working nice! :)

Doesnt work on either of mine - even the latest download for the premium.

Had to use the floppy disk method.

V1009 on both boards.
