Having read through the other A8R32-MVP post I thought I better create my own since the problems I'm having are entirely different to those of everyone else! Tbh I don't even know for sure that the probem is with the m/board. But I suspect it is.
Here's my problem: The day before yesterday I was using the pc normally... surfing the web, using a few office apps and then playing games late afternoon. Installed a load of new games so I was shutting down/restarting a lot, and all without any problem. Then I turned it off overnight, went to bed, and in the morning when I went to turn it back on I had no output to the display. Eventually, after a lot of turning the pc off/on, the display came back but only during the bios post screen and windows loading screens. At windows logon the monitor led was green (so was getting a signal from the DVI) but again, no picture just a black screen.
I couldn't fix it and decided I must have messed something up in the bios so reformatted and installed the whole *&%£# lot again. This was yesterday. After set up I tested it all to make sure everything was working then fired up some games and was happy again. Turned off to go to bed, and what happens today when I turn the machine on again?!? NO DISPLAY!
Anyone got any ideas?
