Hi people just a few questions with this board.

I have a AMD 5000+ Black Edition to go with this and a BFG 8800gt card

1. Will these both work with the crosshair board.

2. Says it's sata but can i run SATA-II hard drives or just sata drives.

3. I don't suppose i ever will but if i got one more 8800 card will it run both cards in sli.

4. Whats the best memory.

Thanks

I did not want to be 1st to say this, but if not bought that Mobo dont, cause its a POS, Google all the issues with it and I had 1st hand use of 1 till it fried and wasted 2 6000+ CPU's (burn marks in same place as all others).

Then there is PS2 (not sure if same for USB) Mouse/KB not working at most Startups till you unplug/replug which fixes most times.

Infact I could go on but I wont as Im glad it fried now.

I own a Crosshair motherboard and it works like a dream for me.

It will take the 5000+ and 8800GT without a problem, It is a SATA-II motherboard so it will take your drives fine, but as a tip for the future, all SATA-II devices are backwards compatible (or at least the ones I know about are!).

Yes you can add a second 8800GT into the board, it is SLi capable.

Memory wise I would just go with what you can afford, I have some Corsair XMS 6400 4-4-4-12 (2GB) and it runs everything I use very well, and its not all that pricey.
