ASUS GTX670 MIXED FEELINGS

:D , So I'll take it I'm right on all counts then ;)

And Asus does not make a triple slot 670 Direct CU your eyes have deceived you ;)

Can we agree on 2.5 slot? They are internally a bit wider than 2 slot.:p

You do suggest people buy a referance 670 if they want one tho. They are cheap and nasty IMO. Look at that heat sink and cooler in the second post. Yuk! I can't agree with that.;)

Interesting post. But like the OP now, I think that I shall be sitting this gen out. No point upgrading for a lot of folks with a half decent card really.

Pleased it was worth reading for you, I always try to be honest and straight because I feel the pain and dilemma when weighing up cards and upgrades, and these are not cheap toys ;)

I did not mention about the flashing display and other issues as I have no 100% reference with other 670's, but I do know there are issues with some of these cards.

Lets not go in the normal direction here Dave :D We all know why Nvidia has got away with it ! and any business would do the same ;)

This has always interested me since the card first came out.

As soon as some people saw the small PCB variant, it was like something was missing and lot of people seemed put off by this, wanting a bigger card.

I can understand the theory that maybe a smaller PCB would result in higher temps etc but as you mention, from a business perspective why would they do anything else if it works and is adequate.

* Waits for Dave to mention that this is overclockers.co.uk not leaveitatstockandmakedo.co.uk for the 8th time :p
