Could someone be kind enough to expain which options I need to disable in this board to stop the CPU dropping to a 'sleep' state.

I have disabled C1E but the CPU still drops when the machine is at rest

Why do you want to do that?

Sometimes people switch it off while testing their overclock but for the rest of the time you should leave it on.

It saves electricity and there's less deterioration of components.

When you do something which needs it the CPU will clock up to full speed in a tiny fraction of a second.

EIST is what you want to disable as that varies the clock dependant on usage and demand.
But like Surveyor says your probably better off leaving it on.
