O.k ive decided to take the plunge and upgrade my system with the below items

Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (Socket 939) - OEM
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940)
PowerColor ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Hiper HPU-4K580-MK Type R 580W Modular ATX2.2 PSU
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2

My only concern is does the asus A8N-E have an built in Ethernet connection? the description on the website doesnt make it clear at all.

if anyone could clear this question up, id most appreciate it and any other advice on the motherboard in question.

Im allmost sure that all new ASUS mobos have built in Ethernet now .

As for that mobo ...Im not sure i don't have one , I have the A8N32-SLI Deluxe .

EDIT : It says it has 1 x RJ45

Have a look on this spec sheet , Near the bottom it says " Back Panel I/O Ports " In that box is all the rear connections S/S

I had this board with my dual core x2 3800 and it was painfully unstable even at stock. Dunno whether it was just a particularly bad board I received or anything. Upgraded to the A8N-SLI premium and all of a sudden all my problems are gone :O
