Hello guys :)

I'm going to get an E6600 rig with an asus p5b deluxe/wifi motherboard, and I'm thinking about getting OCZ memory. The problem is that I've heard numerous times that OCZ sticks are nt compatible with Asus core2duo... but I've also heard that they work great.

Anyone here using OCZ with Asus m/b who can verify?
Would you suggest getting (for example) two Corsair XMS2 PC6400 800MHZ sticks instead?

Thnx in advance :)

I would go Corsair. May cost a few extra quid but it will remove a possible big headache for you. Your OCZ ram in the ASUS board could be incompatable causing your new pc system not to even enable you to boot into BIOS. I purchased some Geil memory and found that I had to buy a cheap stick of Crucial memory to get myself into Bios where I upped the voltage and swapped in my Geil memory.

Having said that if u find a consensus view on a combo that works then trust that. OCZ has very good support forums so I would check them out b4 purchasing. They even released a custom BIOS for my ASUS M2N32 board!!!! (I may even try it see if it makes my Geil run that little bit smoother!!!).
