2ms response time.

I'm thinking of getting this for my new system. Using a 8800GTX. On guru3d the GTX shows excellent fps benchmarks at this monitors native rez.

Since I will be using the monitor for gaming 90% of the time, is it the right choice? I play a lot of First person shooters, like quake4, rainbow 6 Vegas eg.

Any suggestions on a suitable alternative?
It has "DVI Connectivity" So I assume it will be compatible with the GTX?

My understand is it has the same qualities of a gaming 19inch TFT, but its bigger and better.

Have a read of this , the Asus scores highly for gaming but not for colour accuracy. If the vast majority of what you're doing is gaming that probably won't matter too much I imagine.

I've got this monitor and it's excellent. The build quality is top notch and games via PC & Xbox 360 are brilliant.

I'll try and post some pictures later tonight, that's if I can get off Gears of War :D

Hm, after reading that review it seems its the best for gaming but suffers from serious colour and viewing angle problems. Which have made me wary.

Questions for you Nogimmix:

Whats the colour and viewing angle problems like for you?

Whats the dead pixel warranty situation? How many does there have to be before you can get a replacement?

Also whats this HDCP connectivity like, have you tried it?

How much does it rock for gaming?

A review from someone who has brought one would be very handy indeed, as I have seen recommendations but no actual review from an owner.
I for one would be most grateful for your input as an owner of this model.
Could you give us your input as best you can?
thanks. :D
