Looking to build some servers with Q6600 runing CentOS and VMWare, narrowed my choices down to these two boards.

I would appreciate some feedback regarding users experiences with these two boards, not really bothered about Overclocking just stability and compatibility.

It's really too close to call. Both are first class boards. I have the Abit and I have had excellent results from it with utter stability. Big.Wayne has the ASUS P5B and he would say the same, I'm certain. You may also want to look at the ASUS P5K or Abit IP35 if you're working with Quads as the more modern chipset seems to have a bit more headroom for overclocking.

Running Linux then I am not sure of the support for the P35 is in the Distribution CentOS 5.0, whereas people are running on P965 chipsets.
