Hi there, several months ago i invested in a set of components from ocuk, the system ran out of box all this time then the video cards fan died.ocuk quickly replaced it (cheers guys) and i set up the system with the new card...however now the system wont post:ie the mobo light is on,the peripherals and hdd are turning, but no display, the monitor reckons theres no signal and the mouse and keyboard are unresponsive.
now then i cleared the cmos as the manual says to do,checked asus forums (apparently this mobo is a heap of **** :P) and i am wondering now if any real mobo kings might know of something i am missing,or maybe i can do to get playing my high graphics games again?

Have you got another GFX card to try?

May be worth trying the other VGA/DVI port in case one of them is duff.

Its possible you may have a dead gfx card.

This seems to be a common problem with P5Ns. I've had two do the exact same thing to me within minutes for the first and a couple of hours for the second. You're lucky you got so long from it :p

Did you notice the computer freeze up before this happened? That's what happened with both of mine. Then my symptoms are the exact same as yours. I doubt it's your graphics card. My graphics card worked fine in another motherboard. Now though when I put it in my old motherboard it has slowly died so I think the faulty motherboard may have damaged it

The GC worked fine between the first and second P5N in my old motherboard though so that wasn't the problem. Definite RMA time.

I think the OP has a different board to you. The OP has the original one with the NF4 chipset and the big red northbridge heatsink.

Yes I did notice the pc hang a few times,i put that down to the failing graphics card, this board does indeed have a big red heatsink,it is definately not the p5nsli-e.
looks like i got me a dead duck, any advice on a new mobo? particularly to use the dual core2 6300,corsair ddr2.i thought asus were meant to be good, from their support forum i am suprised people still buy asus :(

oh i noticed ocuk doesnt sell this board anymore, dagnabit better go to pcworld for some great offers
