Use any of the bundled software that comes with the MoBo??

I have the P5Q Pro, not sure if all the software that comes with mine is bundled with any of the other versions

There seems to be a LOT of utilities on the CD apart from drivers, just wondered before I install anything if there is anything you would consider a MUST INSTALL or not?

I downloaded the most recent drivers from the Marvell/Intel (LAN drivers, Intel chipset drivers, Intel Matrix Storage Console software and ICH10 R drivers) websites, I don't really bother with any of the "utilities" ie. Asus Probe etc..

Same, just downloaded the most recent drivers on the asus site. Did install some of the utilities but then uninstalled straight away after finding out what they did exactly which is nothing important.

Same for me too. There's better utils and tools for everything I need available online, plus everything on the disk is likely to be well out of date.

The Asus utilities are crap, don't bother.....the only useful one is the EPU6 thing if you have the P5Q-E or Deluxe, but it's useless if you overclock :/

The only one i've installed is the Bios Update one, downloaded the last three BIOS files (Just incase lol) and thats it ;-)

Now on to the overclocking :confused:

Now that you've got it installed make sure you never use it

Flashing the BIOS from within Windows increases the chances of something going wrong and therefore ending up with a dead board.

I got that update sofware installed aswell....it would be fine to just uninstall it as its unsafe to use when and if i need it?
