I am going to flash to bios version 1402 and run a lower multiplier. Question is and sorry if its a bit stupid, but what should I have it set at?

At the mo in the bios its like so.. E6600 @ 9x333fsb (3ghz) ram at 833mhz and 5/5/5/5/15 DDR 6400.

What mhz would I put my ram if I ran say.. 7x430 or 8x380?

I would just set the fsb at 380 or 430 in the BIOS and then see what ram options become available. The BIOS re-calculates the ram speeds (by divider) whenever you change the FSB, so just choose the speed that's closest to 833Mhz (or whatever speed you want to run it at).

The NR works at 15-5-5-5 for me at upto 420Mhz FSB 1:1 ratio. I have random crashes at this speed, though I am sure it is the processor that needs more volts. However it tops at just over 60°C @ 3.36Ghz. So I am reluctant to push volts higher to test my theory. Intel rate max temp of chip @ 60°C So until I read that several peeps run thier C2D's @ 70+°C. I won't push further. The NR is fine with 15/5/5/5 timings to 410Mhz FSB 1:1 ratio. Of this I am sure, tis what my box is running at now :)
