Hi folks,

I have ordered the Asus P5W DH Deluxe, I just wondered...

1) I currently use a Netgear Wireless 54G USB dongle for my Internet, is the Asus onboard one a better one to use with my router? (Belkin F5D7634UK)

2) Do you recommened I take off the heatsinks and apply AS5 to the chipsets underneath? I ask this as once its installed it becomes very hard to do it.
Is it easy to remove the heatsinks?

Thanks

I must admit,I have fine temps on the NB etc..and have not removed them to add AS5 this is with my conroe at 3.8ghz.
Seen the new beta bios that pushes the MCH to 1.85v no mods required? (not tried it). Now for that it be worth some minor surgery, it really was quite bad on mine, way too hot.

Nice ES to get to 3.8GHz, a bit more MCH maybe 4GHz prime?

Bare in mind that taking it apart and adding AS5 will probably invalidate the warranty. If you do this before the first use, you won't know if you have a duff board and it'll be too late to return it.

I always put the board up on a bench, run it stock, load the new OS. Check all the ports and connections, let is soak 24/7 for a few days. Cycle the board up/down a couple dozen times. Check the overclock. Then change the TIM's.
