I got a problem not a big one but it is just nice to have all of the features you payed for ;). I have the 801 bios and are running the sofware that came on the disk.

Has any one got a solution to fixing the remote because it just says it's not connected but the reciver is plugged into the proper port and the remote has the battery in and makes a light when I use it.

I can't work out whiy it isn't being detected as working, I have done every thing it says to do this sucks!

Yes I already did that tried it in both of the bottom ports still doesn't work I am going to try the latest driver/software from asus but I am really baffled by this .

Could be? It is picked up by device manager and was installed properly. Going to reinstall XP use the latest drivers and test again. Maybe a compatibility problem with the X-FI FPS IR reciver hopefully the latest software/driver will work if not I will contact asus.

Hi mate

I had the same problem, so when I updated to bios 0901, I manually uninstalled the infa red receiver from device manager and then removed everything from the pc apart from the receiver. Cleared the cmos and connected everything back up and it started working for me. I believe that once disconnected from the pc, you always have to uninstall it from device manager before it re-installs itself and starts working again, hope this helps you out. :D

Still don't have any luck with this it could be the BIOS maybe only 901< works with it properly. Reinstalled windows to try and get it to work, put it in the correct USB port and installed the lateset drivers and still it doesn't work just say disconnected  :( :(. Maybe the IR module is broken don't know will wait for the next official BIOS till flashing so not going to try 901 yet this is really frustraiting I will leave it for now.

The remote is crappy but if you read the small print they tell you to remove the devices & all software then reboot & reinstall if you are having issues with it.

I gave up trying to get it to work properly as it hangs the post bios screen for me under certain conditions locking my gfx card @ high fan speeds.

Try going in to the DH Remote options and check the box (Enable Power After Power Loss) or something like that, shutdown the system and unplug the power lead, plug the power lead back in and the system will power up for about 3 seconds and power down again, now start the system using the power botton and all should be fine.

Hope this helps!
