Hi all,
I have been building my PW5DH and E6600 machine and have just installed the Various chipset drivers and updates from the CD thatcomes with the MB. Now my USB mouse isnt working.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Of all the problems I have had with this board, this was not one of them :D

I take it you have tried all 4 ports with no luck?
Did you do the full, auto install thingy from the CD or did you pick and choose? I had problems doing the auto so I installed them all manually.
Have you looked in device manager to see if there are any probs there?

i the only issue i had when installing was a usbehci.sys error.....
which after i installed XP sp2, the chipset drivers installed fine.

Im going to uninstall them and try again i think.

Set mine up yesterday, same board, same chip & some of the geil ddr2 6400 2gb kits, everything loaded on fine and my mouse and keyboard both work too. Sorry to here you had problems :/

I had this problem a couple of times, you need to go into Device Manager and disable the Intel drivers and reinstall the default ones (Update Driver). Obviously you'll need to use a PS2 mouse though in the meanwhile.

I didn't have this problem though when I installed each driver individually though.

Make sure you do not use the back USB ports 3 +4 which are the 2 with a sticker over as these are for the Asus remote and can cause issues with other USB devices.

AWPC,

thanks for that. I have fixed the issue.

Im using an Artic Cooler Pro 7 on my Conroe. And I didnt install the fan for the MB chipset as it says only do it if using passive cooling.

Im getting MB temps of 54c.... have you installed you MB fan?
