Hi

I've installed 4 PCI-E network cards in to each of the x16 PCI-E slots on my P8B WS motherboard.

When all four slots are filled, the board will not boot and I get a flashing cursor just after POST.

If I remove a card and free up a slot, the PC boots with no problems.

I am using this machine as a pfSense router, so there is no Windows OS installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yep, tried that too. I've also pressed F8 during boot to choose what to boot from and I still get it.

I've done some Googling and I've come across "IRQ error" a few times. What do you think?

Thanks

IRQ error seems last century. I think it's more likely that "the BIOS is out of boot memory" <-- that is very much a vague statement. I know that if you have more than 1 RAID card then it's a bit of a lottery as the BIOS doesn't seem to be able to address more than a certain amount of stuff at that point. I'll add some question marks and some exclamation marks to indicate I'm out on a limb and unsure. !!!!!!?????
