Yes, the layout isn't ideal.
If you want to run sli with dual slot coolers, the soundcard will have to block airflow from one of them untill we get pci-e soundcards.
 
well my 7800GTs are single slot but i still dont like the idea of an expensive soundcard cooking between 2 equally expensive gfx cards
