Hi

i have recently flashed my bios and it failed midway which has rendered it useless. i need to send it back to the manufacturer but have never done this before and i need to know what i should do.

are their guidelines for doing this, its an asus p5b.

does it need to be specially wrapped, include a letter of whats wrong etc?

can someone just help me out and let me know what i need to do!

thanks

Ship it recorded delivery and hope that either:
1/its lost in transit and you claim on insurance
2/asus have significantly improved their rma process

The process is contacting asus, by phone if necessary, explaining the problem. You get an rma number which you write on each side of the box, but no cover letter is necessary. Reasonable chance that it wouldn't be read if you wrote one anyway

Good luck, and please do report back :)
