Hi Guys,

I recently purchased the Asus 6700 XT which arrived today and the card is big as hell.

Its now installed into my pc on the MSI MPG B550 Carbon motherboard but the end of the card is sagging quite a noticeable amount.

Will this cause any damage? Also what is the solution to resolve it?

Thanks

It won't cause any damage, but you should get a sag bracket if you want peace of mind and for maximum safety for the PCI slot's health.

Your options are basically a stand with a magnetic base on the floor of your case, or one you screw in to the PCI slot mounts (what the poster above linked).

For what it's worth I use the latter kind and it works very well, but you have to be careful installing so it doesn't slip into the GPU fans without you realising.

The pci express slot on the card would snap if it sags too much. But then that's only if you put pressure on it.

I would purchase from ocuk a bracket to prevent it.
