So I have been using the ASUS VG236 for gaming and it is an excellent monitor, but lately I have been seeing some really bad gradients and I am wonder whether my display is faulty or its just like this.
The reason I am wondering is because none of the reviews I have read have said anything about gradient being bad yet on my screen even showing the windows 7 lock screen looks very choppy and as if the computer was set to 8bit colour.
I have taken some photos from my phone but they are not great quality and don't show how bad the gradients are but I will take more with a digital camera if required.

Like I said the images do make it quite hard to see the problem but hopefully you can see it.
Do you think this is a faulty monitor or just the monitor isn't great at displaying clean gradients? If it is faulty I can easily get it swapped with another VG236.
